It seems as if he is inviting someone into his messed up existance. "It's all in the way I say what I don't mean and mean what I don't." He's just saying that the mess in his head causes him to say things that he doesn't mean, but things left unsaid is what he really wants to say. Just a song about the human condition and how what we really are is not on the outside, but in the heart.
