Carried away on the rooftop my 20 year old son was manic and fell 14 stories (perhaps "carried" down to the small bush he landed in that saved his life). Anxious from being in a hospital room with him for 3 weeks, I was hurrying and worrying over the details of discharge and it's implications. My stress effected his sensitive soul and he cycled. And in that moment I stopped in my tracks, and though I had been afraid to do this before because of his fragile state with so many broken bones, I climbed into his hospital bed with him and just laid there quietly with him. As soon as I did that, I heard the faint sound a beautiful song I had never heard before playing on his computer playlist loop. "So come over, just be patient and don't worry..." Truly one of the sweetest moments of my life, lying there with my son who was alive and soaking in the lesson of just being in the moment with peace and love, and hearing this song.
