Its about something her lover did to her and he was so close to finding the real her, after he did what he did to her she shut back down, thats why she said watch the only way out disappear. And when she say put down your lies it means she just doesn’t want to hear them anymore because they hurt too bad.
When she says bury your doubts and fall asleep shes means bury his thoughts of him wondering if she knows what he did but she does know. Then when she say find out i was just a bad dream it’s because she’s leaving him for good. And she goes on to say (don't tell me why just kiss me goodbye)because she know its not a good reason for what he did to her.
But this is my understanding from it what do you guys think
