Chris wrote this when he was having a "mental breakdown. " he wrote it when he was home alone; no one was around. He didn't know what else to do, so he grabbed my guitar and wrote this song. Whenever he says lost at sea, it's a metaphor for when he loses his mind. Like, if he loses his mind and never came back the same tell everyone that he'll miss them, but he had to go. Pretty depressing, but at the same time a pretty cool tune.
