This song is really important to me and it always calms me down. To me, it talks about wishing the person you love could accept you for being the way you are. You wished you weren't that way sometimes, but it's just how it is. it's difficult for you to explain and make them understand and accept you. you know your relationship with them might never be the same after that, which is why you sometimes feel too scared to try explaining. You know they might feel horrible and have a hard time, but you've been trying and that it's even harder for you than it is for them.
