I saw this song's meaning as (And wish I hadn't) as referring to God / Jesus as being the master of puppets. And saying that he only promised lies and he isn't giving anyone their dreams, as in the verse: Where's the dreams I've been after? And also: Just Call My Name Cause I'll hear you scream. And the album cover where it shows the hands at the top, you'd figure they were supposed to be God's hands or something. I love this song, but when I figured this, It bothered me alot. I am a Christian.
