I think the song Prelude: Fly by Lee Ann Womack is about a friend that sadly passed away to young. She's telling her friend goodbye in lyrics. I hate guessing names but my guess i think she is talking about Mindy McCready or George Jones. They are the only two i can think of that passed in 2013 in the country music community. The album, the way i'm livin' was released in 2014. Although this is just an educated guess. I'm not quite sure but to point out she is actually saying goodbye to to a friend and is wishing she could fly with her friend at least once. That's my guess based on lyrics. I'm ruling out that it is or isn't about the possum or Mindy McCready. I have no source of this. I'm just using my brain.
