They are supposedly a Christian band. They have Christian lyrics, but spread no gospel nor the plan of salvation, nor do they mention the name of their "Lord" funny.
Anyways, from a Christian perspective, the song is about resisting the world, and hearing the truth for what it is, and not warping Gods words to make your sin bearable.
They have an awful testimony, and they are hypocritical turncoats at best.
When I sing to my God I call Jesus Christ my Master, and my Lord, My savior, my everything. He pulled me out of the rot that is this world and set my feet upon the Rock of his glory. That is what they should sing. But, of course, they leave it up to the fanbase to decipher cryptic lyrics, makes you wonder who their masters are.
