Explanation
"
Me miro en el espejo y veo en mi rostro
El tiempo que he sufrido por tu adios
This song puts into words the pain and suffering one experiences when someone dear to you has passed from this life. In lines 3 and 4 of the first verse, it talks about how the writer looks in the mirror and sees in his face, the time spent suffering since the "goodbye". Of course, it is said very poetically and rhythmically (i.e musically) in such a way that it evokes ones emotions. This is especially true if the listener can relate to having lost someone they loved.

Meaning
For me personally, I feel as though I never really allowed myself to adequately grieve the loss of my mother. By putting his feelings into words, Juan Gabriel helped not only himself to grieve, but he is also helping me and others to do the same. Hearing the song, especially when performed by Rocio Durcal, usually manages to bring a tear or two to my eyes.
