Everyone has their own way of dealing with problems. For many people they choose to ignore it. This song is trying to say that it is possible to make a difference in the world no matter how small you are. After all change isn't going to come if everyone sits back and ignore everything that's going on in the world. Carrie is trying to say that you shouldn't let people tell you that you can't do anything to make a difference in someone's life. "The smallest thing can make all the difference", One small act of kindness can lead to an even bigger act of kindness. Also in the song, she says " For 10 cents a day you can save a life" Is that really too much to give when we have it better than other people. So get out there and make a difference!

This song is encouraging people to speak their mind and let their voices be heard. I think the band is trying to get people to realize that we shouldn't be afaid to stand up for what is right. People back down when they think that they might be wrong. Maybe they are but everyone has a right to their opinion. I think mcr is trying to tell people that change is possible. But if you don't make your voices heard nothing can be done. In the song he Gerard says, " Sing it out for the ones that'll hate your guts" So basically the band is saying that no matter what you have to say, you have a right to be heard even if some people may disagree.

God does not hate gays. Sure the bible may condemn and may say that its considered a sin. But how many of you can say that you have never sinned? No doubt all of us have sinned but God doesn't hate any of us for it. He died on the cross to forgive us of our sins. Homosexuals are ridiculed and told they are going to hell because they are "different". Do you think they chose to be this way? You can't just wake up and say "hey, I'm going to fall in love with this person today." I doesn't work that way. Love just happens. Its fate. No one chooses that path for themselves. So do you think its fair to tell them that God hates them? He doesn't. He created us and he loves everyone just the way they are.
