I hear you dadegar. Same for me, I went to magnet middle and highschool from 6th to 9th grade. I'm in 10th now at a neighborhood school. Love it so much cause the most of the kids there are real. I don't care what the hell you look like, if you're nice, I'll be descent and judge you fairly. No need to downsize the cliques or labels-- dress and act however you like, it's your own opinion that matters. Just the person, not their looks. That's what the Knives and Pens video showed. It might discourage some people because they chose an "emo" kid to play the lead role. But the song itself, its lyrics, are pointed towards those who have felt similar. Mostly, to the last two lines of the song. Those who have felt dull, depressed and shot down. And although it might seem like mostly "emos" feel this, or that they try to act like it. Disregard that stereotype. Everyone has s*t to deal with, so your problems are your own to face. The people who care about you can only do so much; it's what you choose to do that impacts your life the most. Just stab it through and justify your pride. That's basically what this song is meaning to say.
