For me, this song is about a girl who had a crazy boyfriend she broke up with. She's got a new boyfriend, the perfect one and she feels proud of it; but she misses the guy she broke up with and she feels like she's lost and torn without him. The guy she says is her boyfriend now can't fill the space that the other guy filled up in her heart.
That's for me though.

My friend said this song "Fireflies" were only for people who were high. I completely disagree, I think she failed to see what's between the lines, I loved how it has an up-beat tone to it but I tried reading the lyrics before actually hearing to song so I said. "Wow, deep" but then it dawned on me that it was more than a little deep coz' it tells a lot of what could really happen to a person in his/her life. I know you guys can't get it so sorry for wasting your time. Xd.
