I admit this is an excellent song, but your comments disturb me. My personality, ashamed, past lover, my x who broke me.?
I think the song is meant to inspire, not to discourage and these comments are discouraging. The hero of the song is beginning to acknowledge the emptiness in those around him. I hear his pain, but more importantly I hear his pity. He is not the oblivious. He is not the fallen. He is not the wounded. He is not the tragedy. And neither are you.
