She fell for someone or put her trust in them. Thought she meant something to them. Entrusted them with her feelings and now she has to watch as they dismiss this. Even though they may be happy, she isn't. She feels selfish for feeling this way. She should be happy for them because she loves them. But it's because she loves them that she can't be happy. She's fed up of pretending. She's "lost the will to live unselfishly". She wants to find happiness.
