Oh, I think I get it now. I think the song is about repentance, or the initial contact with God. The first verse starts by describing the emotions associated with first trusting in God. "Its like the Breath before the Dive" = Leap of Faith. "Its like the Truth After a Lie" = Confirmation of the Biblical Reality. "This flight is taking over" = growing in your faith. "Search Lights in every corner" - I'm not so sure about this one, either means there are many people searching for real truth or the new Christian is looking to share the Gosple, I think. The others are a bit fuzzy to me, except the flooding of the city, which I believe is a reference to the Final Judgement. As for the Chorus, "If you want to breath, you just let me know" that is, survive the flood, or the Judgement, ask for His forgiveness. That's all I got. Falling Up is ridiculous sometimes. Theyre one of my favorite bands, but sometimes I get frustrated not understanding their lyrics- not that its necessarily a bad thing.
