To me this song reminds me of when I was falling for this guy over the summer and he was only here on vaca and when he left I felt like I was dying. So to me this song means like one person fell for another and when that person left and didn't feel the same way and didn't even know how you felt about them, and when they left the person died on the inside. I am A complete secondhand serenade fan! If they didn't exist I would probably be dead right now. That's how much their songs helped me in my times of depression. (well not dead of course but very depressed, and sad, souless if you will).
