These lines always hit me hard. Someone once said " half the world is sleeping, and I want to be one of the ones who is awake. Those of us who are awake, live in a constant state of amazement." It reminds me, that each of us needs to be aware and alert to our journey through life. There is a lot of the world that are sleeping so soundly that they are swept along by events and people that they think control their lives. They are unaware of the joy of the journey in life. I think we all need to be reminded that we need to be "present" to the present. Then the present becomes a present, a gift, to us.
