Your ideas are well thought out. But the song is about God, specifically the Christian God. It takes a hard stance on creation, by using earth metaphors. And the line "Can you see now that everything's grace after all" Is a reference to salvation through Jesus Christ, By grace through faith. Christianity is the only religion that teaches that. Every other religion is based off of works to some level. But yes it does show that we all are equals in God's eyes and we are all beggars! Thank God for that and way to go Dustin for putting great theology into music! Not many people are so bold or creativitly intelligent.
