To me it is the song of every immigrant who left their native land to journey to a new one. it made me think of our country and how sad it would be to leave her. It also made me appreciate the people who travel thousands of miles to America to ask for asylum and the trials they had to overcome to get here, not welcomed and held in camps while the Statue of Liberty beckons strangers to America.
