Whenever I hear this song I couldn't help but cry because I experienced this. When I went to an immersion, I met a friend (though we were studying at the same school, I didn't know her because we have different course) and we became close there. We were sort of "new-found best friends" cos we shared a lot of our secrets. Even until we got back here already, our closeness did not fade, hence we became closer. But I was too afraid to show her my feelings and let her know how much I like her. Because 1. She was in a relationship at that time. And 2. I really didn't want to lose her as a friend because I was too scared that she'd reject me although all our friends keep on telling me that she also likes me. We were both too scared to show our feelings. So we decided to just ignore it though we were becoming sweet to each other already. But what's worst is that another very close friend of mine liked her too and without even telling me, he flirted with her and she fell for my friend. Now they're together, and it hurts every time I see them :(
