To me this song means that we all gather together only when bad stuff happens. Other than that it's kind of like 'where have you been? I haven't seen you in 10 f*****g years but now that he's gone you're here? Why weren't you here before? '. I take this song very personally in that context because of how my family has been treating each other for the past few years. It seems like the only time we do gather is when we bury our friends. (I posted the same thing down there I just didn't realize I wasn't signed in, and now I don't know how to delete it. Sorry about that.)

@davyire- *snickers* I think you're full of it dude. Fall Out Boy is not full of hatred, murder, violence, and death. I have no idea what they're 'full of' to be honest, but it's not that. Honestly I think all it is that you heard the fast, upbeated-ness of the song, couldn't understand the words, and got freaked out. All this song is saying is that the same old same old story of the homewrecker having a heart of gold is getting ridiculous because how can someone who tears apart a family have a heart of gold? That and I'm sure that the guy you're describing quoted the first part about breaking a starry-eyed kids jaw, right? Yeah, I truly don't have anything to say about that. It is a little violent, but seriously dude? Have you heard any of the other Fall Out Boy songs? I suggest you sit your spiritual little butt down, chill with some lemonade, and take a listen. They're not all Amazing Grace, but they're not all 'bad' either.
