This is just my guess. No idea if it's correct....
It's about a breakup of an abusive relationship.
First stanza "Baby don't go" is the abuser pleading, and a dubious promise of change.
The chorus "Steam rolled hair..." is the drug experience.
Second stanza "Burn through my love..." is the person leaving the relationship.
