Things aren't always as easy as a break up, this song can be interrupted in multiple ways, I take it as someone caused something, or someone, loved to be taken away from another one, and the person who wrote this wants them to pay for what they have done to him/her. It's obvious they don't blame them self for this but they still seek vengeance on the one who they feel did cause it.
