My Mary Ann was the most wonderful person I ever had in my life. Within 15 minutes of our first meeting we both knew we were meant for each other. We never had a cross word. The only problems we ever had was when what wonderful she was trying to do for me ran into the gift of love that I was trying to give to her, or the other way around. But, she was an asthmatic, and she fought for each breath from the time she was born until the end of her days. She went into respiratory arrest twice in our 23 years, and with Grace and training in cpr I was able to bring her back both times. I did revive her on the third arrest, but she stopped breathing again while I was letting the paramedics into the house, and they could not revive her. That will soon be nine years ago. She is waiting for me now on the Far Side Bank of Jordan; she always loved that song. I hope she doesn't have to wait much longer for me. The love and care she gave me in our time together is still what keeps me going today. I'll see you soon little darling.
