I think that edward is the cat and his sore blunt toung is his thirst for human blood that he can never quite quench. All the people are the warm poison rats. Warm because of his blood thirst and poisn because he is a "vegitarian". Bella would be the flightless bird of course! She is still food for a cat but she is diferent to him. The pill is like the fact that what he is can hurt her. "big pill looming" and then "big pill stuck going down is like at the end when the fact that he is a vampire put her in danger, and he has to consider leaving her. I'm not really shure how the rest of the song relates though :)
