My question is this. If this song was not sung by Robin Thicke, but another singer/rapper say. Jay-Z. Chris Brown. Would it have been given the same scrutiny and criticism that is being handed down to Robin Thicke? I believe some folks are trying to make this more than it is because it's a catchy & hip song that is degrading to women being sung by a Caucasian singer. Where is all the criticism, etc. For the same if not worse songs by jaz-Z, Chris Brown, and other non-Caucasian singers/rappers? Maybe it's a sense of double standards and hypocrisy? The song is a adult fun for those who take it for what it is, but there are those who feel they need to read into more than it is. Our society is in a moral social decline, but singling out this song is not the core/major/primary reason.
