I would have to slightly disagree with you all as I think the meanings are deeper than they seem. It could be anything like to me I have recently had problems with my fiance. She said she doesn't know who I am anymore and wanted the old me back. So I started to realize I need to change back to the fun, happy, loveing, and carefree me she fell in love with. And the moment I returned I felt so bad for what id put her through I think this song is covering that perhaps. But that's only my opinions. Feel free to add to what I've said.
