This song refers to the life an death of the great Mario Lanza, who in turn, was obliged by MGM to pretend being an actor, rather than an opera singer. They really killed him rather than changing his personality. I left home 50 years ago and my story is similar and listening to Andrea Bocelli and Luciano Pavarotti singing this song. make my blood boil and a tear shows.
