This song speaks to the need in all of us for friendship and affirmation. We all like to have friends and to have somewhere we can be where we are appreciated. I've had a few places like that in my life, including a few small churches, a fraternity and yes, a couple of really friendly bars. A lot of people either have a favorite bar where they hang out or wish they did. I think that connection plus the funny writing and great acting of the show are why it lasted so long. It's still one of my favorite sitcoms.
