One day, I was at a table, attending a show where the author of the song was performing. In between songs the author signer was visiting tables and he came to us and related the incredible story of this song. He was a teen ager when he composed the lyrics, he said. He presented his song to a manager in which he had confidence to become a popular signer. But, in fact, the song was presented to a singer already known in the name of Richard Anthony. This last one had a great success internationnaly. But him, the real author has never congratulated for this big "tube".
His name is Gaétan Roy, he is a Quebecer, living in Montérégie. If still alive, I hope he would be granted for his part into the success. and celebrity he really owns.
