I believe in this song that he broke up with her and took some time away from her and then relized she is all he will ever need and he made a huge mistake on leaving her. He is going to give everything he has and more to get her back. When he says "but only if you told me to" that part is the best part of the whole song. This is another awesome song with a great meaning to it by Nickelback!

Basically this song is meaning is she has found a new guy that is "PERFECT" everything he does, his looks, the way he treats her. It's all any girl could ask for. But she looks back on her past relationship and it was crazy with the fighting and arguing. She loved him so much that it made her crazy in love with him and she misses that. She would rather have that kind of relationship as the "PERFECT" one she could have. Going through this myself. Great song and has a great meaning to it!
