At some point, we always have to part ways. The song speaks about what one would want to do if only they were still together, if they still have each other. So the song, for me, is trying to tell us to make the most of our time to let everyone important to us know and realize how much they mean to us, cause time will come that we'll all say goodbye; and it's only the love that we've shared that we can keep and share, that'll stay and we can keep far longer than forever.
