There are two different "Good Lives" in the song. The first verse alludes to what you'd call the high life i.e. vapid, irresponsible hedonistic lifestyle free of responsibility and, ultimately, real emotions like heartache.
The second verse explores the good life we pursue when we are true to ourselves and the pain that we may expose ourselves to but a life lived honestly nonetheless. The singer implores the person who's living the false good life to abandon it for the second version.
