All artits have sung this song with the incorrect words, because they don't speak Louisiana French Creole patois nor Native American (Choctaw and Chickasaw). If not, they wouldn't have sung what they did. Here are the real words, and their English meaning.
Akout! Akout! (Creole) = Listen, Listen
Akout, alout en déyè = Listen at the rear
Chockma Finha (Choctaw= It's very good) an dan déyè (Creole = at the back)
Chockma Finha ane (It's a very good year)
