I really like the lyrics of this song. It's like saying goodbye and there's no turning back. You can't either continue the relationship because it has already been tainted and if ever they pushed to continue the relationship, it will just like prolonging the agony and pain they felt, and might as well adding another insult to the injury.
So why hold on to something that tears you apart? Better let go and just let it be, end up the agony rather than prolonging it when you know it's pointless, worthless and you'll both end up miserable.
