Sounds like the life of Millenials these days. "Fork in the road and no plan of action" obviously suggests he is at crossroads in life. "Stuck in the middle, got not traction" is like he is trapped and powerless to do anything about it. "Got no job but I'm educated" is self explanatory. "THe traveled path's so overrated" may mean the old rout our predecessors took doesn't work anymore. So why should we "break ourselves just to get a little closer" to this already banal and oversold existence? No advice from older generations ever worked, so we walk our own path in life.
