A great, underrated song from For Earth Below. Trower is very good at writing lyrics that have substance even though the music is hard to be heard over which you would expect from a power trio. This song alludes to a time past that has largely been forgotten only remembered by a single voice (the lonely siren). The message is only partially recognized and maybe confused with something else (is that a voice within my head). A beautiful truth or tale may be lost but maybe another truth will be recognized (behind her eyes the sun is dying, maybe the moon can take it's place) Somewhere the story may still be heard by some one who may have the ability to hear (out there ships upon the wind are dancing, tired old hands the sails unfold) but it may be to late (around their eyes the wind is sighing, maybe the end A Tale Untold) The story will never be told and the siren cries. Great vocals by Jimmy Dewar who puts the right feeling to the lyrics.
