I feel that the song is about being deceived and futilely seeking revenge against those who deceived you. The chorus basically tells about the truth being hid from you, even when you ask for it. The second verse is more about doing whatever to get revenge for being deceived, even if it means your self destruction, which is sung about in the third verse.
