This song, "She Put The Music In Me" is a tribute to the artist's mother. It contains references to a lot of children's songs that are taught to children ages 18 months and up to 12 years old who attend an organization called Primary, which is part of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormons). The first verse references a song that is familiar to a lot of people, "Rock-a-bye Baby", then "Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree" and "If You Chance to Meet a Frown", "My Heavenly Father Loves Me", and "Teach Me to Walk in the Light". The chorus references "The Wise Man and the Foolish Man". The second verse references "A Child's Prayer", "Give" Said the Little Stream", "Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam", "I Feel My Savior's Love", and "Love Is Spoken Here". The second chorus references "Search, Ponder, and Pray". The third verse references "in the Leafy Treetops", "All Things Bright and Beautiful", and possibly 'Mary's Lullaby". The third chorus references "Mother Dear", "Choose the Right" or "Choose the Right Way", "Mother I Love You", and "Lift Up Your Voice and Sing". That is all I can think of right now, do you see more? If you look up all of these songs or if you are familiar with them, you will understand this song better, it is simple, yet very lovely and meaningful.
