My father drove truck and was on the road for weeks and sometimes months at a time. I was Daddy's Girl and missed him terribly when he was gone. This song was my theme song when he would finally get home from long trips. When he quit trucking, I thought he was home to stay. Only to leave a few weeks later to live somewhere else.
