I think it's about someone who was betrayed by someone they loved and were with for a long time. The betrayer left them but wanted to come back to them, but the betrayed is strong and they want to look the other way to a future without their betrayer. The betrayed knows it was a love better than they'd ever wanted but they don't want their betrayer now they also realised that too and regret leaving them. They're not going to defend their betrayer or pretend any more coz they know they're worth more than being treated like they didn't matter at one point. Would love to hear more meanings.

I think it's about a guy who keeps going back to his ex and trying to get her to go back with him because he thinks he is the one for her and treats her like she can't make her own choices because she chose not to be with him. He's some deluded dreamer and fantasist who thinks he's the best guy ever, and she still loves him but wants him to leave her alone because the relationship wasn't gonna be that good coz he ruined it by hurting her. She's telling him she doesn't want him and wishing he would leave her alone. She knows he's lying but she wants to believe his lies because deep down she also wants to live in a fantasy world and not face the truth, but she's gonna get through this and out from under this dream she's having and will love everyone but him coz he doesn't deserve it. She knows she needs to get proactive about telling him to eff off and is trying to convince herself to do that.
