Shinee's song "Stranger" is a song off of their EP "Sherlock". It is known as a dance-ballad that describes a kind of rocky relationship of the artist loving an outside person, who is left up to the imagination of the audience. The overall sound of the track is very similar to their songs "Sherlock", and "Evil" when referring to the English translation and song structure and the use of harmonies and line repetition outside of the chorus. The song's message in particular talks about wanting to find out who this mystery person is as the artist is talking about there being a sort of control of them that is out of their hands. They don't want to escape who is in control, rather they are searching for the person because they feel some sort of connection. In the rap, there is a bit of conflict, because the lyrics state of not liking being controlled by someone other than the artist. However, the overall meaning of the song is not changed, because the artist may have that written in the lyrics, but the repetition of phrases that say things like "You're the one person I've wanted like crazy" negates the idea of escape.
