This song has to do with two people and their relationship, and how the one knows they are going to break up sooner than later and that they really can't stop it because they're so far apart from one another. It could also mean that they knew their relationship was a bad one and the one person blamed it on them because they knew that they could've gotten out of the relationship faster and they knew "I am the one to blame." because they knew that the relationship is at it's worst and those two are so far apart hence the title 'Seasons Apart".
