This song is just so wonderful and sensitive. And with such mournful, soulful, incredible love and life in the face of abuse and disillusionment. It reminds me of a man I knew back in the 1980s. He was released from prison after serving about five years. He was a killer, he killed a man in prison, never caught. He took me under his wing, tried to teach me his ways. But he became disillusioned with me and he came close to murdering me. But when we were up, we were really up. It was a sad, tragic relationship. It is really reflected in this song.
