I think shes saying that she was just looking at her shadow, got to think of the one she likes and hopes that instead of the shadow, she would see him everywhere she went. And she can hear his words in her head and from all this, he becomes a part of her and even if its day or light, he's with her. Then when it happens that the clouds appear and take her shadow away. Shes going to go to "a place where the sun always shines" so he'll always be with her.
