This song mean so much to me. I think that when it was wrote it was about a relationship that was almost over. Man telling woman that he is sorry for not listening to her, and his promise to listen to what she is saying this time. He is begging her for her help. Asking for her to open her eyes and realize that he loves her and that life sometimes get in the way. He is willing to do whatever it takes for her to stay in his life. Remeber the good times and what they had!
