I'm mostly into classical music, and hated jazz, till I was about 35-40! I like pop music from the 30s-40s,and some from the 50s, but never got into Rock & roll!!! But one night I was listening to the radio when I got back from the hospital about midnight! I heard Gershwins' "Rhapsody in blue" The first 'symphonic jazz experiment of 1924, And was enchanted!!!! Got also to love pop songs, and when I first heard Mr. "Bojangles" I realized it was a slice of life in the raw!! The writer _was writing_ from a life experience, clearly!!! Mr. Bojangles is emblematic of the lives of a lot of the street people you see about the city, who no-one usually notices, yet among them are hidden gems!! Mr. Bojangles, with likely little or no education appears kind,Loved his dog VERY MUCH, and willing to 'work for his living, and please people with such talents as he posseses!! Perhaps this is to show we all have our niche in life, be it ever so humble!! _The ability to PLEASE OTHERS!!!!!_ You even see this on YOUTUBE in numerous people using a public piano to reveal their hidden talents!!
Everyone has some a little niche somewhere- The question is for them to have the chance to exhibit it!!!!!!
