I do agree that this song is about aids. "dont tell me that im dying" they don't want to hear they have been diagnosed with hiv. The way life would change if they were to know.
This song could also be from someones point of view that has someone that is close die. They don't want to be waken because they are dreaming and although the person has left, they are still with them in their dreams and their heart.
This song could mean so many different things.
