This song is about (to me) a man that messed up and he says sorry and the girl forgives him but really she doesn't show it and she starts to change, the love that she has for him is not the same. He feels that its so hard to get to her. He feels like hes trying everything but its impossible to work things out. Yes they have love for eachother but they always arguing and hes tired of it and hes telling her I'm trying, I'm trying to get close to you but you won't let me so why you just let me be and leave me.
