Ms. Thatcher, I think you may have not understood the real meaning of this song. Love is a war! It might not be literal blood battle, but Jesus disarmed the forces of darkness by fighting for us! Heb 2: 14-18 and Heb 12: 1-2 We could not do it on our own but now if we are born again, the Holy Spirit gives us power to fight the enemy! We have to fight everyday to choose Him, to love Him, to live for Him in a fight against sin and the enemy! We are in a war- eph 6: 12 "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places" ultimately God is the one fighting for us, but we prove our love to Him by obeying His commands and not giving up but being steadfast.
